The countdown is officially on for the National Egg…
Arden Headline Sponsor of Poultry Health Management 2018
Arden Wood Shavings is pleased to be the headline sponsor of Poultry World’s Poultry Health Management Conference 2018. This is the second consecutive year that Arden has sponsored this conference and networking event for poultry farmers, which is being held at Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough on 20 November 2018.
This year’s conference is being separated into two distinct streams – the Broiler Conference and the Layer Conference– to cover poultry health topics specific to both the ‘broiler farmer’ and the ‘egg farmer’.
Jake Davies, the editor of Poultry World will open the conference, followed by a keynote speech from Graeme Cooke, Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. The conference then divides into two groups, each with their own individual agenda. The Broiler Conference will be chaired by Gary Ford, Chief Poultry Adviser, NFU and Poultry World’s Jake Davies will chair the Layer Conference.
Arden’s Founder and Managing Director, Chris Stanford, will be a speaker at the event, taking part in the afternoon (Broiler) session dedicated to Gut Health (1420-1505hrs).
“Once again, we are delighted to be the main sponsor of Poultry World’s Poultry Health Management, which despite being in its relative infancy, is already proving an important event in the calendar for poultry farmers,“ says Chris Stanford.
“Our Safemix poultry bedding product, which is now a market leader within the industry, has been developed in response to increasing demand for affordable bio secure bedding products. We understand the extreme importance of high levels of bio-security, to protect and improve bird health and feel we have a moral obligation to provide products and services of the highest quality and integrity.”
Chris continues to say, “Sponsoring an event dedicated to poultry health management reinforces our commitment to the industry, and our ongoing scientific research in conjunction with Arden Biotechnology into bird health matters. This, significantly, has led Arden Biotechnology onto the path of an initiative to develop a bio-control for toxic strains of bacteria affecting bird flocks, including Clostridium perfringens, which is thought to be the most costly of all pathogens affecting poultry flocks globally.”
